Away from the glue another small group made up a spar gauge ,marked out the handles of two oars and turned the square sectioned timber into octagonal handles with an assortment of spokeshaves ,Next week should see the eight sided handles turned into sixteen sided sections and then finally rounded off for the finished blister generating shapes some rowers will get to know intimately !'   |
